The Leah Quilt

Session 1  10:15 to 2:00pm     Learn to make strip sets that are then cut into blocks.  Finish making your blocks or join us for our Make It Monday Sew-In.
Session 2  10:15 to 2:00pm     Sew your blocks together, learning how to put them 'on point'  Add a mitered border to finish your quilt top.

Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: Students must be comfortable with their sewing machine and rotary cutting tools
Requirements: The Leah Quilt Kit with pattern and fabric for the quilt top and binding Rotary cutter, mat and 6 x 24 ruler, Sewing machine in good working condition, power cord, foot pedal, 1/4" patchwork foot Optional Pattern and Fabrics, as per the pattern Threads to blend
Instructor: Marilyn Downs
Instructor Bio: Marilyn has the longest time on staff. She loves teaching, and her specialty is totes. Her students leave well-pleased and with a new friend! She enjoys sewing for friends and family, and donates many items to The Arc of the Piedmont and Area 3 Special Olympics for fundraising events.
