BERNINA Mastery - 2 & 3 Series & older (10:15 am to 12:45 pm)

Sewing Machine-Basic Operation for Bernina Sewing Machines.
Learn what you need to know about the basic operation, accessory, needles, threads, care and maintenance of your new sewing machine.  Space is limited, register early.  This class will include a variety of machine models.
BERNINA 215, 220, 230, 240, 325, 350, 380 Machines are welcome.

You will learn basic skills, as well as some creative techniques based on the machine you have purchased.  You may download and/or print the My BERNINA Sewing Machine Workbook for Series 2 & 3 to create a technique reference guide.  You will find additional resource materials in the back of this workbook.

Skill Details: BERNINA Mastery Classes are designed to teach basic sewing techniques while showing you the operation and care of your new sewing machine.
Materials Included: BERNINA Mastery Workbook, fabrics and stabilizers for sew-outs
Requirements: Your new sewing machine
power cord,
foot pedal
sewing table
presser feet
Free Hand System (knee bar)
accessories and manual.
1 - 2 spools of good quality sewing thread
small scissors
paper and pencil for note taking.
Instructor: Mary Humphrey
Instructor Bio: Shop owner of COTTONWOOD, Mary began hand embroidery at age 5, and made her first quilt at 12. She comes by it naturally learning from her mother, a sewer, weaver, appliquer, and bobbin-lace maker. Mary lives with her husband, Buddy, at Lake Monticello just outside Charlottesville.
Class is complimentary to those who purchased their machine at COTTONWOOD.
