Create Your Own T-Shirt
Using a serger to sew together a t-shirt. This method of sewing can also be applied for creating sweatshirts, etc. You will cut a t-shirt pattern out of jersey fabric and adjust the pattern as needed.
Supply list:
Pattern (you will need to purchase separately) - Rio Ringer T-Shirt & Dress (we have at COTTONWOOD) 20% off with class purchase
Serger in good working condition, power cord, foot pedal and needles
Thread to blend with fabric - 3 cones of polyester thread and one regular polyester spool
Basic sewing kit - pins, seam ripper, thread snips, marking pencil, tape measure and tapestry needle
Jersey knit fabric - 1 1/2 yards
Session one will cover fitting, cutting and sewing - 10:15 4pm
Session two will cover finishing the project - 1-4pm
