Patchwork Quilted Jacket

Create patchwork using a jelly roll, layer cake, charm packs, fat quarters or scrap fabric and make it into a simple jacket that can be reversible. Students will learn cutting and piecing pre-cuts into patchwork, fitting a pattern, quilting sections and fashioning them into a garment with optional pockets and button holes.
Supplies Needed:
Rotary cutter, mat and ruler
Sewing Machine in good working condition, power cord, foot pedal, bobbins and needles
All-purpose foot, 1/4" foot and BSR or free-motion foot
Thread to blend with fabrics
Basic sewing kit--pins, seam ripper, thread snips and marking pencil
Fabrics/Supplies for project per pattern
