Anything Bag - Zippered Tote with Edge to Edge Quilting



Create an “Anything Bag” to hold binding supplies, Wonder clips, safety pins, marking pens, etc. The class is for beginners to advanced sewers with a variety of techniques including: ¼” piecing, zipper insertion, easy “edge to edge” quilting (embroidery design included), and adding lettering

Supplies:  Any brand sewing/embroidery machine with at least a 5 x 7 hoop (large oval hoop for BERNINA brand), ¼” foot (37, 57, 97), zipper foot (4, 4D), Download free .EXP design

Materials:

  • 1/8 yard each of 3 different fabrics
  • Two 4″ x 8″ scraps of fabric (white & red-for label)
  • Two 4″ x 8″ scraps of fusible webbing
  • 15″ x 22″ fabric for lining
  • 15″x 22″ piece of batting
  • Thread for quilting and piecing
  • 14″ zipper
  • Temporary spray adhesive
  • Water soluble marking pen
  • Stabilizer, like a medium weight cut-away
